Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
I am interested in extinguishing (releasing) the second lien. My mother deeded this house to me then filed bankruptcy. I reaffirmed the first lien, which is in her name, but not the second. I have not paid the second lien in many years and don't even know if HSBC still owns the paper.

You'll have to locate the second lien holder and obtain a release.
