My parents have been divorced for 20 plus years, my mom decided to move to texas to help me care for my ill dad. She put 4,000 down on land. My dads father co sighned a loan for 28,000 to get a used manufactured home put on my moms land. They were both paying the land and loan. Until recently my mom came to stay with me, there was a family dispute, now they dont get along to stay in same home. so one of them must go, the land is in my moms name, the home is on my grandfathers name until paid off. what is the fair thing to do? Can my dad put a lein on the land? and try to take it from my mom?Thank you for your answers..

He can't arbitrarily put a lien on the land since it is her property. It would take a lawsuit (which he probably won't win) to perfect a lien. However, he can haul off the trailer and take it to a trailer park - which, I think, would be fair.
