Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Land owner financed defaulted, they have a house on property

I owned two lots and a manufactured home. I sold them seperately. The buyers were able to received enough financing for the house, but not the land. I decided to finance the land to them, with no interest, since they had grown up with my husband. We have never received a payment on time. They are now almost 30 days late. We made a contract on the land. When they financed the house some repairs had to be made caused by a storm before the financing could be completed. We filed the insurance and repaired the house and they completed their financing contract. Now they say they will not send any land payment because the house repairs were not completed. This has been a year and a half after we made the repairs. What can I do to either get our money, or can I have them evicted from our land?

Look to the note and deed of trust created when the land was sold to them. Hire a lawyer if necessary.

It will be possible to recover your land. Depending on the documents used it could be fairly complicated. You really do need legal help. Most attorneys will provide a complimentary initial consultation and be sure and take your documents.
