Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Landlord not honoring renewal lease terms

A major property management firm in Houston sent me a renewal rent notice on Feb. 12, 2001. Renewal rate was $739 (same as current rent). That same week I left for a 1 month business trip to Europe and Asia. I informed the rental office and asked if I could deal upon my return. Upon my return in mid-March I called the rental office and told them to renew for 1 year. They did not acknolwedge the letter and said the renewal would be $959. On a subsequent conversation they said it was a special -- not outlined in their letter to me. Lease expires March 31, 2001. What recourse do I have?
