Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

landlord/tentant

My husbad and I rent from his grandmother. We signed a lease. Although we are separated now and his grandmother has informed me that because of this I have to move out. Rent has been paid on time and we have no compliants of being bad tentants. Can she do this legally just because of personal feelings? Thank you for yout time

If your lease is current and in effect, then she shouldn't be able to evict you. In order to do so, she would have to file a forceable entry and detainer suit with the Justice of the Peace and prove that you are in default on your lease.
