Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
How may I have a lien on my house released that was file fraudently even though he was paid? I was unaware of the lien placed 1985 for $8,400.00 after I paid him. The contractor roofer is now deceased.

Liens expire one year after filing on residential projects an two years on commercial. If more than two years have passed, the lien is legally discharged.
