Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

lien against property

I have not been able to sell my mobile home & will be

forced to have it repossessed for non-payment. Can

the lien holder of my mobile home, put a lien against

a piece of property I own that has no attachments to

satisfy any unpaid balance on the mortgage? Or do

they just remove the mobile home from the property?

Re: lien against property

If you did not mortgage your land in the MH financing package [commonly done] then they have no claim to the land unless/until they obtain a Judgment against you and commence to execute it.

Your best bet is to talk with the mortgage holder about voluntary repossession. It is cheaper/easier in the long run.
