Liens filed in a county other than the county your homestead is located in do not encumber your homestead.

Did the hospital sue you and get a judgment? There are different liens for different matters. Also, the abstract only attaches to the property within the county. I'm unclear as to where the lien is filed vs where your homestead is located. Further, it's rare to have a lien attach on a homestead unless it's tax, purchase money or child support.
