Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

I live in Texas. I have a large black walnut tree ( approx. 50' tall) that is close to the property line, several of the branches extend over my neighbors property but do not pose a threat to his home or vehicles. These branches are at least 30 feet from the ground. My neighbor also has a black walnut that has branches that extend over his home. The two trees branches create an arch over a portion of his yard. My neighbor has issues with me since I asked him to confine his hardscaping to his yard and has vandilized my property in the past. He is threatining to hire a bucket truck to hack the branches of my tree back to the property line. The only reason for him to do this is to disfigure my tree. Do I have any legal recourse?
