Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
If a loan is given to one person but the deed is written to two people such as Barbara Berkley By Charlie Sanchez. what does the word By mean on a deed. If i take No responsiblity for a loan with the bank on a morgage can they still legaly foreclose on the property with my name on the Deed . My girlfriend is the responsable person on the loan. I feel that I should not been place on the Deed If I was not willing to take responablity for the loan. This is a mistake on the bank part. Thanks, Charlie

If yiu didn't sign the loan docs (and no one signed for you under a power of attorney) the you're not responsible for it. I'd need to see that deed before I can comment on it.
