Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

My mom past a few years ago and my father remarried...I just received a letter stating that my mom was left some land by her grandmother and some guy wants to by it...What I want to know does my dad gets all of this since he remarried or does he get it all because he;s the widow

It depends on whether or not you mom had a will, if your grandmother had a will, or if mom had children outside of their marriage.
