Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
My mother died suddenly in May 2009. My father has since remarried and cut us out of his life. We received nothing of my mothers, not even pictures. He now has their shared home on the market. There was no will. He has not spoke to me in six months. Do I have any claim to the house or proceeds when it sells? I am the only living child and I have a niece from my deceased brother.

Unless you are a child of Mom's outside of their marriage, all goes to Dad. Sometimes life isn't fair. Sorry.
