Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

My neighbors tree roots are on my foundation. What can I do? are they liable to remove them since it is their tree. I have no trees

Have a tree specialist come out to look and advise but my non-legal understanding is that you can chop the roots to his tree where they come onto your property thereby not allowing them to damage your foundation.
