Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

We pay our own escrow. The taxes came due and we were late paying (not that we could not afford it, but my husband forgot to mail the check off).

The mortgage company paid without notifying us. Since there was no

escrow they took the money out of our mortgage and reported to the

credit bureau we were six months behind on our mortgage (only found out

when one of my credit card companies lowered my credit line). I have had spotless credit since I was 15 and now my credit is ruined. We paid the mortgage company back and now they have been sending us mortgage payments with escrow attached to it (first bill was over 300, then it kept rising with each month). We sent them our regular payments and they kept sending them back. on friday, i received a notice of foreclosure. We have been in this house for 17 years and have never missed a payment. We refinanced for a lower rate in 2002, do you think they are mad because they cannot make a hugh profit off of the interest rate and escrow? We need help?
