if i pay the proerty taxes on my neighbors land, can I put a lein on the property?

If you enter into any agreement to pay them for the neighbor you can execute a deed of trust which is a lien. However, the owner of the property has to sign the documents and consent to this arrangement. This agreement in no way will give you ownership of the property just the ability to get paid should the owner not pay you back for your loan of payment for the property taxes.
