Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Five people own a property, three refuse to pay their portion of property taxes. Can they be forced to pay back their portion if someone else covers it or can they be forced off the deed? This is in the state of Texas. The property was saved from forclosure last year by one of owners and will go onto the forclosure list again this year because they're refusing to pay again. Also can interest be charged on the debt owed?

You can take them to small claims court for reimbursement, but you may end up with an uncollectable judgment. You can partition the property and force a sale, and get reimbursement for any expenses paid on behalf of the other owners. It will take an attorney to file the lawsuit and have a receiver appointed to conduct the sale.
