Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
I own a plot of commercial property purchased in 1979 and surveyed in 1982. An adjoining property owner has a 2007 survey showing an abandoned lane of about 30 ft.as part of my property. This discrepancy is causing him to encroach 30 ft. on my property where he has moved portable buildings. The lawyer I retained a month ago to investigate this matter is personal friends to this property owner and seems to be favoring his latest survey over mine. I want my boundary lines clearly defined but this large building extends over my line . What recourse do I have?

This is not clear...the 2007 survey shows the 30 ft is yours? yet neighbor is using it? if you don't have confidence in your lawyer...get a different lawyer..I presume your 1982 survey is
identical to the 2007?...
