Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Property Lein/being sued
Bought new home, the builder didn't pay the bills for ceiling fans, countertops, appliances, etc. Now we are being sued for non payment . Bought home in Oct, have been paying the Mtg. Co. on time. There are leins against the property now.

You should contact the title insurance company and file a claim. You should also consider suing the builder.

You have a title claim. Get your title policy out (sent by by the title company where you closed). Follow the instructions on the jacket to make a claim and let them take care of it. Good luck.
