Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

property ownership

I have a 2 question concerning some property that was owned by my deceased grandfather. The Property is located in Grimes County Texas, 4 acers. Grandfather died with no will. I understand that the propery goes to his children. Currently only 3 are still living. The last surviving male, my uncle just died. My mother and I have been paying the taxes on this property for over 20 years. Is there a way to get the property in my name? It is currently listed in the name of my grandfather as the estate. Does my uncle that just died does his porton go to his kids?

Re: property ownership

It depends. You may have a claim for adverse possession, but I would need more facts. If not, you may be entitled to reimbursement for the taxes you paid.
