Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
property from the 1930's and 1940's.
My Aunt just found some paper work on some property bought by her Grandfather back in late 1930's and some in the early 1940's. How does she go about laying claim to this land?

Take the papers to an attorney, a title company or research it yourself. The county records need to be checked to see if the property is still in grandfather's name. Chances are that he sold it long ago or it was foreclosed for non-payment of taxes.
