Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

property sale

I have a house under my former last name. Purchased when single. Is it legal to sell it to my now husband? and have him include me on the title? Reason; better deal in refinancing.

Yes, you can sell it to him if you wish. You can also do a transfer. If there is a mortgage on the house, you may need permission from the financial institution in advance. This would only effect the title and not obligation to pay.
