Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

old property

I was sereved with some papers telling me that I was being suied for back taxes.

#1 we tried to take care of this in 2001/2003 we were told that if we paied the taxes that the property would not be ours and we couldn't do a thing about it. Now in 2007 thay come back and are asking for over $3000 for only 1/2 of a 1/2 of a lot. WHAT!

Thea are threating to take my property can they do this?????

Your property can be taken if you wait long enough without paying property taxes. But you do have options if you act soon enough; contact an attorney and go over the facts so they can determine what your next step should be.
