Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

When I purchased my home only my name was put on the deed. I married several years later. My wife has helped make renovations and pay off the note, which included contributing the proceeds from the sale of her home. The appraisal district here is a nightmare to deal with. How can I get my wife added to the deed? We have been married over 20 years. The note was paid off 10 years ago. There is no mortgage, nor liens on the property. Thank you.

You can file a deed. The appraisal district has nothing to do with this. A lawyer or title company can do this for a few hundred dollars. If you don't want to use someone local, my office can handle it for you remotely.
