Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

I purchased a single family rental property a few month back and filed all the necessary papers with the county. This is not my primary residence and I do not have any exemption status and I did file it as such. My county taxes reflect this but my city and school taxes do not. Those still are carrying the exemptions from the previous owner. I pay the taxes myself and plan on paying early next month.

Am I responsible to have that modified to reflect my status or is that their responsibility?

They usually change it. Go ahead and pay your taxes as is and they may or may not bill you for the difference.
