Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Quit Claim
I bought some land from another person. They cashed the check, but won't sign the quit claim even though the price was agreed on by both parties. Do I have legal recourse? I want to keep the land, but now they want more money.

It will be tough without a written contract, however, evidence of the check being cashed is in your favor. Unfortunately you will need to file a lawsuit and prove up your case to possibly perfect your interest...and there is no assurance of success.
