quit claim deed

I want to quit claim deed to my son.I want to know, should I have it recorded at the courthouse, or just filling out the form is enough?

Do not use a Quit Claim Deed in Texas as title will not likely be insurable in the event of a sale. Use a General or Special Warranty Deed. The completed document is recorded in the office of the County Clerk where the property is located.
