Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Real Estate Illegally Sold

In the 70s our aunt, (father's sister) sold family property they inherited from their parents without my father's knowledge. It was sold a couple times after by the new owners and now the city of Ft. Worth, Tx acquired it for a community center several years ago. Our father never got a cent from these sales and we (his children) are wondering if we have a legal case against those who bought the property including the City of Ft. Worth? He and his sister are both now dead. His parents left the property to their three children (our father, his sister and brother) but they (his brother and sister) did things underhanded without telling him anything.

Re: Real Estate Illegally Sold

The short answer is yes, you have a right to proceed against the property subject to a BIG IF, having to do with the amount of time that's passed since the wrongful sale. I need to know, exactly, the dates of: a) your father's death, b) the sale by your aunt, and c) the birth dates of each of your father's children.
