My builder filed a chapter 11 bankruptcy few days after we closed the home. Some vendors of the builder are putting lien on our property for the outstanding payments with our builder. What do we need to do to remove this lien? Are we liable for these payments?

This is a prime example of how important title insurance is. If you haven't gotten your title policy yet, follow up with your escrow officer and get it. Then, follow the instructions on the jacket on making a claim. The title company should handle the problem for your. Good luck.
