Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Real Estate

My mother passed away 5 months ago and left no legal will. She was behind in her taxes and the property is in jeaopordy of being lost.My sister is asking the surviving childen to sign over our rights to her and having the deed under her name. My question is can I ask that my name be put in the deed without her jeopordizing getting the loan to pay the taxes?

Re: Real Estate

You need to check with whomever is giving the loan on the house. Most banks will not give out a loan with multiple people on the title to the home (except husband / wife). If the bank is okay with you being in title, then you can be on title.
