Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Real Estate Question?

When my parents died they did not draw out a will but we my mother was to pass away she told my(one of her daughters) to take care of her house. My question is: If we want to sell the house who needs to be notified of the sell?

Re: Real Estate Question?

If there is no will, then the house would have passed under the laws of intestacy to the surviving spouse and the children. Therefore, all of the heirs of the deceased would have to be notified. You're also going to have to establish title in the heirs prior to selling. If all are in agreement, then this isn't a difficult thing to do.
