Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

I receive a payment on mineral rights from a gas well in Liberty Co, TX. I want to assign that to my son who lives near there. I live near Little Rock, AR. I was divorced in Pike Co., MO; & my ex-husband insisted on getting 10% of those payments. I agreed. It wasn't put in the original divorce decree; it's in an amendment that I can't find. How can I find a copy of that amendment?

According to the "paying" company, I have to give them the information in a Texas legal document, filed in Liberty County, TX.

You will need to execute a deed to transfer your interest in the property. The deed should describe (legally) your interest in the property, the minerals, etc. Make sure that you do not transfer more than you own. You should have a title company do this for you.
