Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

What do we do now?

We recently build a new home ourselves on several acres we own in the county. What do we do now? Do we need to get some kind of a deed or title on the house? We already have a deed to the property which is paid for. Will a deed to the property also cover the house or do we need a separate deed to the house and, if so, what do we need to do? The house is already included on our property tax statement.

Re: What do we do now?

Unless you had some type of weird exclusion in the deed that you received, the deed that you have includes the land described in the deed, plus all improvements on the property at the time that you acquired it, plus all improvements placed on the property after you acquired the property, unless you have executed some type of instrument transferring away improvements on the property.

Therefore, if you already have a deed to the property, it would be a needless act to re-deed the property to yourselves.

In summary, I am not sure what your question is.
