Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
I recently purchased a home with about 1 acre of land. The previous owner had allowed her neighbor to build a small barn and corral on the property. About 2/3 of the barn is on what is now my property. Is the barn mine or how do I go about getting it removed?? The person who built and uses the barn has posted no trespassing signs and put 2 locks on the gate, which is actually on my property.

That person is trying to acquire the land by adverse possession. If the barn and corral have been in place for over 10 years, it is possible that they have already done so. Contact an attorney to go over the specific facts.
