Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Release of vendors lien
My husband & I have paid off a property that was owner financed. Seller wants us to obtain form for her to sign that releases the vender's lien & puts the deed in our name. What is the form or forms needed?

Re: Release of vendors lien
The document is called a Release of Lien. You want it prepared correctly because it is the document that clears the lien off of your property. You can go to an attorney or title company and have one prepared. It shouldn't cost much, for example, I charge $50 for a simple Release of Lien.
