Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Removing name from mortgage
Several years ago my boyfriend and I purchased--name removed--home together, both on the mortgage.
We've since separated with him assuming all costs of the home.
We're at the point that Im ready to have my credit, equity, etc. removed from the house so I am no longer responsible in any way, shape or form for this home.
Is this possible, and what is required? Will this mean he will need to refinance?

The only way is to either have him pay off the loan or refinance. The lender won't let you off the hook.
