Removing name from property deed

I purchased a house with a friend and now I have sold my part to them and want to remove my name from the deed. What type of form do I need and do I have to have an attorney

All you need to do is deed them all of your undivided interest. You would use a warranty deed. I usually prepare this document for $100 plus filing fee (usually $16). Keep in mind that if you obtained a mortgage on the property, you will still remain liable if they don't pay. If that is the case, please contact the mortgage company and obtain a release of liability if you can.
