I am renting a house with a 2-car

garage. Recently, the garage door

caved in and caused damage to one

of my cars. I have rental insurance

but it only covers contents.

Shouldn't the homeowner's

insurance of the owner cover the

repair of the car?

Yes. If there is a deductible, the owner should be responsible.
