Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
I have a rental property (Single Family Home) in a residential neighborhood. I was approached by a potential renter who wants to use the home to house 3 elderly persons and provide care for them. I wanted some advice on whether it was legal to rent a house for that purpose. If it is, then do I need to put any special clauses in the rental agreement?

You need to see if the local zoning and/or deed restrictions allow such use. You also need a lease form suitaable for commercial tenancy. Handling the transaction correctly will almost certainly require a lawyer at a cost of maybe $1,000-2,000, so be sure the offered rent is worth it.
