Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Rental question

My son rented a house in Austin. He

notified the landlord that he would be

moving out by the 15th of next month.

That is giving the landlord more than

30 days notice. There is no contract.

The landlord is now for the first time

ever that my son must pay the full

amount of next months rent--- not

just the rent for the 15 days of next

month. Can she make any demands

without a contract or a verbal

agreement?
