Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

I am currently reviewing a property to purchase in Houston, TX. I was shown the property by the seller's agent on several occasions and am now prepared to move forward with making an offer to purchase. The seller's agent has referred me to another agent in his office to represent me. I then learned from both agents that an offer (referred to by both agents as a low ball offer) has been made on the property. Subsequently, the agents shared with me the person who made the low ball offer has come back with an increased offer of $205,000. I have asked to see and review this offer as it is $10,500 above the home's appraised value. Both agents said I cannot see the offer as it is confidential and proprietary. How can I verify an offer of this amount has been made on the property?

You don't have the right to demand that they show you an offer.

It looks as if you're being "played."

I suggest that you smile at these to agents, tell them that you're withdrawing YOUR offer, and walk away.

The loudest sound in the world is that of a cash register not opening.
