Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

My name is Robert and I have a question about real estate. 7 years my wife and I owned a house in georga and wanted to move texas. We couldnt sell our house because we would have lost money because the house was fearly new. So we contacted someone who was invester and said that they buy houses. So we signed over the deed with the understanding that they owned the house which they said is the case. They sell the house doing lease options deals. Now they are having problems getting payment from the person who lives there and the person we signed the deed over to is behind one month payment to the morgage company and is saying they dont have the funds to make a payment. I have no idea what to do and I'm affraid of all this coming back on me.
