roommate's rights?

i currently live in a house that was left to me in an estate.i have shared the home with a woman that i can no longer get along withfor 2 1/2 years.i have ask her to move,(3-2000). i have Told her to move(6/2000). she will Not leave. i dont charge her rent,we only share the utilities,taxes,insurance,and minor repaires.is it legal to change the locks so she will Know that i mean for her to leave a.s.a.p.or do i have to go to court and spend $ i don't have to have her evicted that way?if that answer is yes,how long does that take?if changing the locks is not legal, can i move and shut off all the utilities(they r in my name only)?

You are probably asking for legal problems by changing the locks. You probably have no more right to occupy the house than she does.

Your better course is to move, notify her and the utilities that you are discontinuing services, and leave the rest to her.
