Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Sale of Home after Divorce

By order of my divorce decree, I am required to pay my ex-wife 15% of the what I receive from the sale after the lienholders are paid. The mortgage is my name and the house is in my name and I still live there, but she was my wife when I bought it making it community property. The only stipulation in the decree that she has to agree on is the selling price. She is trying one last powertrip... she has told my current realtor that she thinks the listing price is too high and will not agree to its sale. Can my realtor still sell the home and is her signature required on anything?

I am sorry, she will have to agree and sign off. If not, you will need to take her to court.
