Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

sale of home

i recently sold my home. althought he contract did not specify, there was a verbal agreement between myself and the buyer that the fireplace mantle would not be included with the sale of the home (i agreed to purchase another for them). after the sale was finalized i received a certified letter from an attorney in which the buyer was demanding that i return the mantle. what are my options? i really do not want to give up the mantle.
