I want to sell the lot next to my house. My neighbor wants to buy it. What are the steps I must take to sell?

Complete an earnest money contract, take it to a title company, agree on tax prorations, time of possession, inspections, repairs, if any to be done before closing, especially lender mandated repairs, etc. Call Joel Messina, Real Property Attorney in Austin (512) 328-9999. He knows what to do and will treat you right. Your alternative is to hire a realtor who will take 6%. Joel will probably be cheaper.
