Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
selling of home
My Parents have passed away and did not leave a will I am currently living one of the homes and my sister is trying to get everyone to sign some paper to sale the house she says it's our only option. I just want to know is there any way for someone to keep the house if they wanted to. Or at least find out if we have other options.

Re: selling of home
You have a number of options. The most cost effective option is the one that all of the children can agree to. If you want to keep the house, have it appraised, and offer to buy out the other children's shares. If everyone is in agreement, then this can be accomplished fairly easily. If everyone wants to fight about it, it can be expensive.
