Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

i sold a house to an uncle, he made a down payment of 7000 and we agreed that he would pay 300 a month, he has done alot of work in the house but now he does not want the house and wants his money back do i need to give him back his money? the agreement was made about a year and a half ago.

I am assuming you don't have an agreement in writing. You don't have to give him all of the money back. Agree on a price for improvements and deduct "fair" rent. If he sues you, the court may determine a "fair compensation" to you and may order a refund of the excess.
