Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
My son lives on our property in a mobile home, we also live on this property. He has lived here 5 years with our permission. Can he now or anytime in the future claim adverse possession or squatters rights?

He would have to be an adverse possessor for over 10 years to claim an interest in your property. As long as he has your permission, you're safe. Make sure you have witnesses or something in writing.
