Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

I am being sued for unpaid property taxes on house I own in Texas ( appx. $2000.00 ). The property has been vacant since 2000 and I now live in another state . I have no desire to retain ownership of this property and have no problem in signing it over to city/county to sell in order to settly matter.

If the property is worth more than $2000, then sell the property and pay off the taxes with the money from the sale.

Good Luck!
