Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Texas eviction law

I would like to know the Texas eviction law. I have a daughter and her husband living in my home in Harris County and I want them to move. My daughter lived inthe house while single and paid an amount equal to monthly note that we owe on the property. She has since married and we continued the same procedure. The husband now refuses to pay the rent and has rented a room to a friend of his. I want them all out of the house as soon as possible.

Re: Texas eviction law

If they have a lease your rights are strictly described in it. If they do not, and have only a month-to-month tenancy, then you are required to give them 30 days written notice to quit, leave and vacate the premises. Forms are available at the stationary supply store.

If they don't voluntarily vacate after 30 days from their receipt of the notice you will have to proceed to court to obtain an order of eviction.
